LG -GX500 - Low End Dual-Sim Smart phone

LG is joining the bandwagon of the android phones with slew of new phones of its own. Mostly budget phones. Very few in the upper spectrum of price. LG GX 500 one of those phones which lets you own a android smart phone without making a hole in your pocket. Added to that this a dual-sim phone.

The phone looks fine, not great. Not your slim trim nice looking one. But not a bad one to hold either. The screen is TFT one.Looks good but is not the best one under sun, not figuratively. its difficult to use in sun. The plastic back also does not give you the feeling of most stable phone around. The camera is fine.video recording is basic. The biggest reason to get this phone is the dual-sim feature.  This does provide some neat features for the dual-sim usage. Next best reason that I can think of is that its a android smart phone but I would rate it a distance second reason as this does not boast a hardware that will let you enjoy the smart phone features.
The phone is generally slow. The phone book takes time to load. Can’t support angry-bird game so I would assume a lot of the android apps and games will turn out to be useless on this phone.

Now looking at why you should or shouldn't buy this one. If you want a dual-sim phone with a slew of features this is a nice buy for you. If you don't want a dual phone this wont qualify as a good phone only on the basis of it being a smart phone. If you want a smart phone rather look some where else. In-fact if you are not looking for dual-sim I would rather suggest take a feature phone because you cant use a lot of smart phone features on this phone

Iphone 4 - THE smart Phone

The phone that changed the pecking order in the mobile manufacturing industry.... Or the phone that redefined the mobile industry Or the phone that changed the way people looks or think about phones..... Call it whatever you want .... But nothing will be too big to describe its success story. With I phone 4G (and 4GS) it has only gone from strength to strength.

The amazing I phone, as apple puts it and we acquiesce ,is the perfect blend of the great hardware with nicest software. No  need to explain why you need to hold an I phone . But if you ask me what is the best reason , It should be how it feels while you use it . Its so simple but elegant. The apps run in perfect harmony with the hardware and there is very few crashes . Its easy but effective.

It has an Apple A4 processor and 512 MB ram. Its 3.5-inch (89 mm) LED backlit liquid crystal display with a 960×640 pixel resolution is marketed as the "Retina Display". What it means to you is ... its really really fast , can handle your nice little apps without running into hung state and the display is beautiful but with advent of  new android smart phones with as much as 4.5 inch screen it might look a tad bit smaller.

The iPhone 4 features a front-facing VGA camera, and a backside-illuminated 5 megapixel rear-facing camera with a 3.85 mm f/2.8 lens and an LED flash. The rear-facing camera is capable of recording HD video in 720p at 30 frames per second. The rear-facing camera has a 5× digital zoom. With the face-time application and oodles of camera apps on the app store its great as well as handy.

I phone 4G is not 4G enabled . Its the 4th generation of the Iphone series. It supports 3G(tell me about a confusing name !!)  . The iPhone 4 introduces a gyroscopic sensor that detects 3-axis angular acceleration around the X, Y and Z axes, enabling precise calculation of yaw, pitch, and roll.  Very useful for some of the apps especially the games and visual apps.

ios 4 is great and as always apple app store has virtually all the applications you need and beyond.

Initially the I phone users faced some signal issues which i think not so critical now. I phone as usual doesn't support any memory extension by using the USB or SD slot. Other than that all the regular features are available.

Now coming down to should you buy this phone. If you want a great great phone , you can afford any damn phone (not worried about the price tag)  , Wants no hassle from your phone and don't bother to  tweak or do anything other than whats precised you wont get a better phone. If you care for what you spend or you want to know whats goes underneath you have to take a call on with pros and cons . Getting one from USA used to be a good deal (if you can manage) but the diminishing Rs value compared to $ has made this option less lucrative than what it used to be.

NoKia - 6303 Classic - Nice Basic Phone

"Nokia - C303 Classic" is a cute little phone from Nokia. It brings the stable sturdy feel that is always associated with Nokia. But to add to that, it's a pretty neat looking mobile with a thickness that's pretty close to I phone 3GS . Nice and handy . Nokia has added quite a bit of features that makes it a very likable . Of-course unless you are one of the those smart phone Junkie , Then you better start looking beyond Nokia , Because Nokia is yet to find its fine footing in the Smartphone market , with good reasons too.
The Phone has nice screen(2.2" QVGA) , Which goes well with the look of the phone. The keypad is pretty neat. Doesn't have the full keyboard if you are looking for one. The regular mobile keyboard but the buttons are easily accessible.
The 3.2 M.p camera with 8X digital zoom does a very fine job of capturing the unexpected moments for which you won't have SLR camera on you. It even comes with a flash to make sure the photo is not all blurred because you don't have regular camera. Video Capture is basic.
Supports "MP3, MP4, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA, WAV" for the music playback . Not exhaustive but okey. Has a volume control button on the right side of the handset - good to have that.
55 MB internal memory is less. The tiny handset does provide a micro SD slot - Pretty handy to carry the music and the photos you take. 1GB card provided extendable up to 4 GB.
This has got a long battery backup which is very useful.
Has more than average Hardware features: - Headset jack, Bluetooth 2.0 , FM , Data connection (for internet Technology :- GPRS Class 32 (100 kbit/s), EDGE(EGPRS) Class 32 (296 kbit/s)) and built in micro USB port along with the basic features like polyphonic ring tones ,vibrator etc
Boast a very wide range of software features also :- Email client , Calender , Calculator , Alarm, TO-DO list, Java ME , Tex-ting , MMS , facebook and few games like "Bounce Tales, Sudoku, Brain Champion, and Tower Bloxx".
Its not the cheapest of the phones around but looking at the features it's worth the money . If you are looking for a very good phone but not with extravagant features (like in a smartphone) its more than a decent buy.
